Blackout
Blackout is a contemporary architectural alpine holiday retreat designed to maximise space on a small footprint. We focused on passive solar design and energy efficiency. The building must cope with the extremes of cold alpine winters and harsh summers. The walls are clad with charred timber, stone and Colorbond steel for low maintenance and elegance. The dark colour palette contrasts beautifully with the snow covered environment.
